Education Transitions Day
Funded by the Help to Hear Fund
(Last updated: )
The Help to Hear Fund allowed us to bring together Scottish young people with cochlear implants for a special event at the Glasgow University Student Union. It was for young people with cochlear implants who are planning their next move after high school.
Three cochlear implant users (Will, Kara and Tasha) opened up about their experiences of growing up Deaf, navigating school life with a cochlear implant, and the tough journey of dealing with bullying. We would like to say a huge thank you to our three guest speakers for sharing their powerful stories - it was truely inspiring! It's moments like these that remind us of the strength in community and the importance of continuing conversations around inclusivity, support and understanding. Let's keep breaking down barriers together!
